Reduce the visibility of stretch marks and vitiligo? Discover the solution with medical tattooing and permanent makeup

Stretch marks, striae, or vitiligo (pigment loss) can be aesthetically distressing for many people, leading to feelings of insecurity. Does this sound familiar? It doesn’t have to stay this way for you.

What do stretch marks look like?
These linear skin imperfections are unsightly and aesthetically bothersome for many women and men. Stretch marks occur when the subcutaneous connective tissue is stretched due to rapid growth of the body part in question. They are quite common and not harmful to health.

  • Stretch marks appear as parallel streaks, lines, grooves, or growth marks on the skin.

  • They display various colors: purple, red, blue, brown, gray, white, pink, ivory, or beige.

  • They range from a few centimeters wide or long to 10-20 cm in length.

What causes them?
Stretch marks are caused by rapid weight gain or loss, such as during bodybuilding or puberty. The most common stretch marks are those on the abdomen of pregnant women. However, they can also appear on other body parts like the upper arms, forearms, thighs, legs, buttocks, belly, navel, etc.

What is vitiligo?

Vitiligo is a skin condition where pigment cells in the skin stop producing melanin. This results in (small) white patches on the skin's surface. It is likely caused by a minor immune system malfunction, where the body produces antibodies against its own pigment cells. The result is aesthetically displeasing discolored patches or vitiligo.

These often psychologically distressing patches can, however, sometimes be camouflaged using medical tattooing or permanent makeup (on the face).

How do I work?

Stretch marks do not all have the same color or structure. The texture of each stretch mark varies from person to person. An individual may even have different textures within the same stretch mark. Additionally, there are up to 9 different colors in stretch marks. Each client requires a unique approach for the treatment of stretch marks or vitiligo with medical tattooing. Therefore, a consultation is absolutely recommended. The stretch marks are thoroughly examined, and if there are no contraindications, a treatment is scheduled.

Camouflaging stretch marks or vitiligo is an extremely delicate and precise process. Results are not immediate. The treatment requires multiple sessions, depending on the progress after medical tattooing. The goal of this medical tattooing is:

  • "The stretch marks are less noticeable."

  • "The vitiligo is less visible."

This is achieved using high-quality skin pigments that comply with REACH 22 standards. The skin tone is carefully matched to camouflage the stretch marks or vitiligo as effectively as possible.
